The Flying Norseman by Leif Hovelsen (PB, 1983) First Edition

Content Description:  A look at an important part of American ski history and skiing pioneer Carl Hovelsen.  He came from Norway to the U.S. in 1905 to Steamboat Springs, CO.  He is called the "Father of Skiing in Colorado".  Book has 12 chapters plus foreword, introduction, epilogue, reference and acknowledgements.  Many illustrations.

Condition Description: Acceptable.  Gift inscription written in ink on first blank page, which also contains author's signature. Owner's embossed library seal is at lower right corner.  Spine and cover show wear, but binding firm.  No other markings noted.
